This Shipping Policy describes how The Jewelry Exchange handles shipping our products to you. Please read this Shipping Policy carefully prior to placing an order.

1. Shipping Methods and Costs

We offer a variety of shipping methods and costs to get your products delivered quickly and affordably.

Standard Shipping

Our standard shipping method is through USPS First Class Mail. This takes 2-5 business days for delivery within the United States. Standard shipping costs $4.95.

Expedited Shipping

For faster delivery, we offer expedited shipping through USPS Priority Mail which takes 1-3 business days within the United States. Expedited shipping costs $8.95.

For the fastest delivery, we offer express 1-2 day shipping through USPS Priority Express. Express shipping costs $24.95.

Expedited and express shipping cut-off times are 2PM Eastern. Orders placed after this time will go out the next business day.

International Shipping

We ship to over 40 countries worldwide. Delivery times for international orders vary greatly depending on your location. On average international deliveries take 1-2 weeks.

International shipping costs are based on the weight of your order and your location. Once you enter your address during checkout, you will see the calculated shipping costs for your order. We offer international shipping through USPS and DHL.

Customers are responsible for any applicable duties, taxes, and customs fees for their location. Ensure you are familiar with your country’s import laws and regulations to avoid delays or additional costs.

Upgrade Shipping

If you wish to upgrade your shipping method after placing an order, please contact us within 12 hours at support@the-jewelry-exchange.com. We will do our best to accommodate shipping upgrades depending on the status of your order. Expedited upgrade fees apply.

Multiple Items

If your order contains multiple items, we may ship from different locations directly to you. Items will be clearly labeled on your packing slip. Shipping costs are combined for all items in your original order. If you place multiple orders, you will be charged shipping costs for each individual order.

Customization and Special Handling

For oversized, customized, engraved, or fragile items requiring special packaging or handling, additional shipping fees may apply. We’ll advise you of any customization shipping costs prior to placing your order.

Shipping to P.O. Boxes

We ship via USPS to all U.S. Post Office boxes. We do not ship to commercial P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO boxes. We are unable to ship to P.O. boxes outside of the U.S.

Pickup

If you wish to pickup your order from our fulfillment center rather than having it shipped, select the ‘Pickup’ option during checkout. We will notify you when your order is ready for pickup during our business hours. Valid photo ID is required for all pickup orders.

2. Shipping Restrictions

There are certain restrictions around what we can ship as well as where we can ship specific products or materials.

Products We Cannot Ship

We reserve the right to cancel your order and refund your money if you order a restricted item we are unable to ship.

States We Cannot Ship To

There are certain states and countries we cannot ship specific products to due to legal restrictions or prohibited use cases. Examples include:

When prohibited by law, we will cancel the portion of your order with restricted items and ship the rest of the order if possible. You will be notified of any order cancellations or adjustments.

Countries We Cannot Ship To

We ship worldwide to most addresses, however we cannot offer shipping to a limited number of countries where export laws restrict trade or would require special licensing. Countries we currently cannot ship to include:

3. Delivery Timeframes

We provide estimates for order delivery timeframes, but cannot guarantee an exact delivery date. Actual delivery times may vary due to carrier delays, weather, peak season volumes, customs inspections, inaccurate shipping addresses, and other unforeseen circumstances.

We ship orders Monday through Friday. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed the next business day.

Delivery timeframes commence on the day we tender your order to the carrier, which may be 1-2 days after you place your order. Delivery time estimates refer to business days, excluding weekends, holidays, and carrier-observed holidays.

During peak seasons such as the holidays, delivery dates may exceed our normal timeframes. We notify customers prior to placing an order if additional delays are expected.

For time-sensitive deliveries, we recommend paying for expedited shipping to receive your order sooner. For extremely urgent deliveries, we suggest overnight express courier service which we can arrange upon request.

If your order does not arrive within the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us immediately so we can investigate the situation.

4. Order Processing Times

Processing times refer to the time between when you place an order and when we hand it over to the carrier for shipment. Orders go through a multi-step fulfillment process to ensure accuracy.

Our standard order processing time is 1-2 business days. This may be longer during sales and peak seasons with high order volumes.

Factors that can impact processing times include payment authorization delays, fraud screening and risk checks, product customization, and availability of specific items. Complex orders with engraving, special packaging, or multiple items may require additional processing time.

Rush processing is available for an additional fee on most orders. This guarantees we ship your order within one business day, except for customized items which still require 1-3 days processing.

If you need an order expedited, please contact us as soon as possible. We have relationships with couriers that can fulfill rush deliveries in many cases. Additional rush fees apply.

You will receive an order confirmation email when your order actually ships with tracking information. Please ensure your email address on file is correct.

5. Shipping Notifications and Confirmations

You will receive a shipping confirmation email when we process your order and release it to the carrier containing:

You can check your shipment status using the provided carrier tracking number on the carrier website. Delivery dates shown are carrier estimates, not guaranteed dates.

If you do not receive your order within the provided timeframe, please contact us immediately so we can investigate. For questions related to the status of your order in-transit, please contact the applicable carrier directly.

When your order is delivered, be sure to keep the package closed and retain all packaging materials until you verify the contents. You must notify us within 24 hours of any missing, damaged, or incorrect items so we can begin a claim.

6. Loss, Damage, and Non-Delivery

We take precautions to ensure your order is packed safely and ships securely to its destination. However, occasionally issues like damage during transit or non-delivery may occur.

If you do not receive your order within the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us immediately so we can promptly investigate.

For a missing package, we will work with you and the carrier to search for the package and determine next steps. If the package cannot be located within 5 business days, we will arrange for a replacement order at our cost.

In the event your order arrives but shows signs of visible tampering or damage, please refuse delivery if possible. Otherwise, accept the package and contact us right away providing photos of damage and all original packaging materials. We will file a claim with the carrier and send a replacement at our cost once damage is confirmed.

If an order arrives with concealed damage that is discovered only upon opening, contact us within 24 hours of delivery providing photos and details. In most cases we will arrange a replacement at our cost pending carrier claim approval.

If any items are missing from your order, contact us immediately with your packing slip describing what is missing. We will send replacement items once we have verified the error.

While we will work diligently to make every situation right, we cannot offer refunds or replacements if you fail to notify us in a timely manner with proof of damage or loss. Verbal claims must always be accompanied by written notice to establish a record.
